We got up early on Sunday, August 2nd, and headed east. Lori had never been to Washington before, and I hadn't spent any real time exploring the city, so we'd been looking forward to this for awhile--especially since our local guy got elected.
We went just south of Toledo and Cleveland, then north and east of Pittsburgh, and then a mere 13 hours after we left, we made it into our hotel in Arlington, Virginia--just across the Potomac from D.C.
