Lori's Remake of the Dole Branch

As the manager of the two branches of the Oak Park Public Library, Lori has been busy making improvements--one of which is the complete rearrangement of the interior of the north side's Dole Branch.

She moved the shelves away from the windows, which opened up the room and changed everything!

My spectacular wife has the greatest ideas, my favorite of which is her idea to marry me.

Miscellaneous

Well, this post has no theme. It's just a few pictures that didn't seem to fit anywhere else.

First, there's the celebrated and spectacular Miss Lori, who needs no introduction, but who can imagine her without one?

Next is a shot of the smoke from the first barbecue of the season--smoked pork chops.

Third is a picture of a nutsack hanging off the back of an SUV--can you believe this?

And last is a picture of my ordination credentials--I'm now an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church. I'll perform my second wedding ceremony in July for Vince and Linda.

Opening Day, 2010 Edition

The day after Easter was opening day at Sox park, and Lori and I were there. The weather was beautiful--75 degrees and sunny with no wind. Konerko hit a two-run homer, Buehrle allowed three hits in seven innings and the Sox won over the Indians, 6-0.

And Lori got a new pair of Sox earrings out of the deal, too!

Happy Easter

Cameron and Sam came home for Easter this year. We had a dinner of ham, creamed new potatoes and peas, a spinach salad and rolls. And chocolate cake.
