Grand Finale

Sunday night was fish fry night. Glenn and Marlis were there, as was Sam. Cam couldn't make it, so we made do without him.

Lori was gone part of the afternoon at the American Library Association meeting down on the south side, where her library cart drill team won first place. Catch the action here.

I fried up four pounds of catfish.

Kevin and Pat made up some slaw from their own cabbage and bell peppers.

We had some fries made from potatoes from their garden.

We had baked beans and roasted corn.

And a blackberry crisp Kevin made from wild berries they picked and brought.

It was some good eatin'.

When it got dark, most everyone went inside except Kevin and me--we stayed out to watch the end of the Cards/Cubs game. The Cards won, and we were all done.

Monday morning Sam left, then Lori, then Kevin and Pat, and then I left for campus to teach.
