Lori and I are standing in front of the oldest home in Galena, built in 1826.
Galena, Illinois is spectacularly quaint, and a money pit.
U.S. Grant was working here when the Civil War broke out--and he left and never looked back. Big mistake.
We're going to go back sometime and stay for a weekend in a B&B--maybe in the fall.
Now it's back to Chicago, and getting ready to welcome Kevin and Pat this weekend.
