After the parade, we headed west out of town. Determined to make Clinton, Iowa, despite the rain, we stopped for lunch in Dixon, Illinois, the boyhood home of Ronald Reagan. He was still a Democrat then.
Driving on to Clinton, we got there at about 2:30, and had a rousing game of Quiddler before heading off to the baseball game.
