Zoe's Opening

My colleague Jack Snapper's wife is an artist, and she has a show going on currently in the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Ave in the South Loop.

We went down to her opening on Friday night. It was a lot of fun in an old building that doesn't appear to have ever been renovated since it was built in the early 1900s--it still has human elevator operators!

There was wine and snacks, and Jack was there, of course.

And there was music--see the video below.

Ullica from the Social Sciences department came with her husband Val, who is teaching for us this term. Lori and Ullica got on quite famously.

After we left, we stopped in at a pub on Wabash under the L tracks for a bite to eat, and to vamp for the camera.
