Spring Ball, Part 2

Today we left Jacksonville at 7:00, heading south on I-95. Four hours later, we got to Jupiter and were able to get into our hotel room just before noon.

We got moved in, changed shoes and hats, and headed down to Roger Dean Stadium.

It's a beautiful park and facility that the Cards share with the Marlins. We got there at 12:30 for a 1:05 game, grabbed a beer and went to our seats behind home plate.

Brad Penny pitched for St. Louis against the Washington Nationals, and he threw 4 innings of one-hit ball. Pujols was a late scratch from the lineup with his continuing back pain, which was a bummer, but what can you do? Maybe he'll play tomorrow.

In the third inning we got some fish tacos, which were quite good.

The Cardinals won the game 6-4, which I think was only their second win this spring.

So, we left the park happy.
